Flying Time!
Most AAGMC members prefer to be in the air. Weather permitting,
you'll find them at their field in Litchfield, Ohio, at another Club's Fun
Fly or Event or doing something aviation oriented. When the weather
is not so kind, you'll find them taking refuge in "The
Hanger" or, during the chilling winter months at "The Dome
".

- Edgewater Slopes -
You'll find great
soaring when
the wind is out of the north or north east. The rules are simple
but must be strictly adhered to. This is a state park and no
engines or motors are allowed. There is a jogging path at the
bottom of the slope so be careful of the people. We certainly
don’t want any complaints. The state just redid part of the hill
so we now have about 500 feet of space. To find the Edgewater Slopes
from anywhere, please
see maps.

The Club contacts regarding the Edgewater Slopes are
Don King, Marv
King and Mike Gantner.

- Litchfield Field
- You'll marvel at our absolutely fabulous flying site located in
Litchfield, Ohio. It boasts a 75' X 700' grass runway and plenty
of open airspace for the giant-scale boys to romp 'n play. AAGMC
is comprised of members with a wide variety of interests.
Thus, unless it's a contest day we're hosting, you never know what
you'll find at "The Field" poking through the clouds.
We have an active group of modelers and flyers and welcome new member inquiries.
To find our Litchfield Flying Field location from anywhere, please see
maps.

- Malvern Slopes
- We have a nice site which includes an "invigorating hike"
to the top of the slop. You can have a great time soaring and get
your exercise all in one outing. This slope works best with a
mostly southerly wind. The slope we fly on is located within a
working farm, so upon entering the premises please take care to NOT LET
THE COWS out (CLOSE THE GATE BEHIND YOURSELF).
The rules are simple. Rule #1: Don’t leave trash
behind. Take it all home with you, including any broken planes.
Rule #2: No motor vehicles allowed at the slope.
Rule #2: Don't let the cows out (especially the ones with horns).
Rule #3: Have fun! To find the Malvern
Slopes from anywhere, please see
maps.

The Club contacts regarding the Malvern Slopes are
Don King, Marv
King and Mike Gantner.

- Valley View Indoor - We keep
'em flying all winter long at The Dome in Valley View. AAGMC has a fairly active contingent
that flies year around. In warm weather you'll find them at
"The Field" competing in the bi-weekly glider contest.
Not willing to be grounded, you'll find many at "The Dome"
during the bone-chilling months in Northeast Ohio. To find The
Dome in Valley View from anywhere, please see
maps.

- Electric Competition
- AAGMC holds a seasonal bi-weekly contest for electric fixed wing
aircraft at the the Litchfield Flying Field. Schedule, contest
rules and
scoring are available here.
